We are a privately owned mountain campground in Cascade, Colorado, near the base of Pikes Peak. Lone Duck Campground has welcomed travelers since the 1960s, and we continue that tradition through hands-on ownership, family-focused hospitality and a classic campground experience in the Ute Pass corridor.
Lone Duck has been part of the Cascade community since the 1960s, growing over time from a simpler camping property into one with RV sites, cabins, a pool, an arcade and a lounge. The property's spring, creek and grassy ground were valued long before the modern campground existed, giving the site a long history as a resting place for travelers through Ute Pass.

About Cascade
Cascade sits at about 7,600 feet along Highway 24, positioned between Colorado Springs and the deeper mountain recreation of the Ute Pass corridor. Rather than remote backcountry, this is an easy-to-reach mountain community with small-town character and local restaurants nearby, giving Lone Duck a setting that feels separate from the city without leaving it far behind.
As hands-on owners, we are closely involved in the daily operation of Lone Duck, working to preserve the character that makes it special while continuing to maintain and thoughtfully update the property. We believe an independent campground should feel personal, and we enjoy getting to know guests and sharing the local communities around us.
