We welcome families, road trip travelers, and outdoor-minded visitors to Lone Duck Campground in Cascade, Colorado. Our mountain campground sits near the base of Pikes Peak, with easy access to Colorado Springs, Manitou Springs, Woodland Park and many well-known attractions throughout the Pikes Peak region.
Our privately owned campground offers the feel of a small, established mountain retreat with mature trees, a creek, a natural spring and a spring-fed fishing pond. We are a family-focused property with hands-on ownership, practical comforts and a relaxed setting where camping remains central to the experience.

Cabins, RV Sites, and Tent Camping Options
Lone Duck offers three types of accommodations, giving guests flexibility in how they experience the campground. Whether traveling with an RV, a tent or looking for a cabin with real beds, each option includes access to the property's shared amenities and outdoor spaces.
Cabins with Real Beds
Comfortable camping cabins give guests a solid roof and real beds while keeping the traditional campground experience. Most sleep up to five guests with a double bed, twin bunk, and separate twin bunks.
Spacious RV Sites
RV sites include full-hookup, water/electric, and pull-through options for small and midsize recreational vehicles. Every site includes a picnic table and firepit for outdoor meals and evenings by the fire.
Traditional Tent Sites
Tent sites offer a traditional camping experience with varying site sizes throughout the campground. All our guests are able to access shared restrooms, showers, WiFi, and the heated pool during their stay.
Our private, spring-fed pond is stocked with rainbow trout and open to anyone staying at Lone Duck. Fishing runs catch-and-keep, from dawn to dusk, with a fee charged per fish caught. The camp store carries rods and bait for anyone who wants to stock up before casting a line, and a dedicated cleaning sink at the dish-washing station makes it easy to prep your catch.
Spring-Fed Pond Stocked With Trout
Our heated outdoor pool stays around 84 to 86 degrees, warm enough for a refreshing swim without feeling like a hot tub. It's open seasonally from the second week of May through the second week of September, with pool hours running from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. After a day of sightseeing or hiking, families can cool off together right at the campground.

Cascade Sits at the Edge of Big Adventures
Cascade sits along Highway 24 in the Ute Pass corridor, within reach of Colorado Springs, Manitou Springs and Woodland Park. The surrounding area offers well-known Pikes Peak region attractions alongside a mix of local restaurants, giving travelers plenty to explore during the day before returning to camp in the evening.
The region around Cascade offers activities ranging from alpine reservoir trails to red rock formations. Rampart Reservoir draws paddlers and anglers to its shoreline trail, while Garden of the Gods frames Pikes Peak with towering sandstone spires. Many more attractions sit within a short drive of the campground.

Dining choices around Cascade, Green Mountain Falls, Woodland Park and Manitou Springs range from creekside meals to casual mountain stops. Wines of Colorado and The Pantry are two nearby examples, with many more restaurants available throughout the surrounding communities before or after a day of exploring.

Red sandstone formations rise across the western edge of Colorado Springs at Garden of the Gods, framed by views of Pikes Peak. Miles of trails wind past the rock spires, and the visitor center anchors the grounds with exhibits on its geology.
More Ways to Experience Lone Duck
Beyond traditional camping, we offer two additional ways to enjoy Lone Duck. Guests seeking a longer-term winter location can book a monthly RV site, while those who want to experience Lone Duck for a single day can purchase a day pass. Both options give visitors different ways to enjoy the campground and its amenities.
Winter Monthly RV Rentals
During the winter season, we offer monthly RV rental sites for guests wanting a longer-term mountain location. Rates cover up to two people, with water and sewer service included. A refundable deposit is required at check-in.
Campground Day Pass
Want to experience Lone Duck without staying overnight? We offer day passes for access to the campground, including the heated pool and retro arcade. Cost is minimal, with children five and under admitted free.

We absolutely enjoyed our stay at Lone Duck Campground. Such a family friendly place with the pool, fishing, splash pad, arcade, and playground. The lobby area has a little shop if you need anything (including ice cream!) and the restroom, showers, and kitchen area were clean and well kept. To top it off, staff was super friendly and polite.

We absolutely enjoyed our stay at Lone Duck Campground. Such a family friendly place with the pool, fishing, splash pad, arcade, and playground. The lobby area has a little shop if you need anything (including ice cream!) and the restroom, showers, and kitchen area were clean and well kept. To top it off, staff was super friendly and polite. Location to Colorado Springs and Manitou Springs was great. Highly recommend!

Had such a great time when we went. The entrance turn is a bit hidden so watch where you’re going. They have a pool, bathroom/shower combo, arcade games ($0.50-$0.75), laundry room, dishwashing area, store, and the campsites also have water spickets in the area. There’s a playground and fishing pond that they stuff with fish so you’re guaranteed to catch something. There’s a stream behind some spots. Staff was so wonderful and friendly. There was a bear during our time there but as long as you threw your trash away every night and didn’t leave food items out or in your tent you shouldn’t have any issues. They have a seating area and it has tables, booths, and outlets to charge your items. They also have hot water, free coffee (bring your own cups and creamer for better results), and a microwave and toaster/air fryer combo. This place is awesome and we are already booking our next trip as I type this.

Great campground that we stumbled upon last minute. We stayed for 2 nights at tent site 26 right next to the stream. Nice having that stream white noise (a little noisy with the road right there). The campsites are squeezed close next to each other, but to be expected at a campground. Location was perfect for our ventures...

Great campground that we stumbled upon last minute. We stayed for 2 nights at tent site 26 right next to the stream. Nice having that stream white noise (a little noisy with the road right there). The campsites are squeezed close next to each other, but to be expected at a campground. Location was perfect for our ventures into Red Rock, Garden of the Gods, and Pikes Peak. Also saw lots of wildlife in the campground (an owl at night and multiple deer came through out site). We usually do state/national park camping, so having the amenities was a big, nice change: warm showers, bathrooms, dishwashing stations, laundry, a small store, complimentary hot coffee and tea in the morning, wifi, swimming pool, playground, fishing pond that is stocked with trout (didn't utilize but cool concept). Would come back again if we're in town!
