Here are some common questions about Lone Duck. If you can’t find an answer on this site or in these frequently asked questions please contact the Duck and we’ll get right back to you!

What is your camping season?  May 1st to the last weekend in September.

When do you start taking reservations for the Season? Reservations can be made for the season starting the first of January and there after.  Cancellation Policy 48 hours on camp sites. 7 days on all cabins.  7 days is also required on all holiday weekends for all camp sites and cabins.

What time can we check in and when is check out? Check in is 2:00 pm - Camper Cabins. Check-in is 1pm – Campsites. Check out is 12:00 pm. Please re-register for additional days prior to 12:00 pm (Noon).

What are the Quiet Hours in the campground? 10:00 pm until 7:00 am.

How do I use my campsite? One camping unit and one automobile are allowed per site. Exceptions for tents are given with management approval. Alternate parking is provided for alternate vehicles with a fee per vehicle. Please keep site free of all debris.

Are you connected? Every campsite and cabin is connected to WI-FI. It is free, secure and fast. Get the code at the office.

What is the pool like? We have the warmest pool west of the Mississippi river, 84-86 degrees. Our warm water splash pad is a hit with children of all ages.

What are the swimming pool rules? NO LIFEGUARD ON DUTY! Open 9:30 am to 9:00 pm. Children 12 & under must be accompanied by an adult. Please, no food or beverage in the pool. No Glass.  No dogs in the pool please. Have fun! (Pool Season is second week in May to the second week in September).

Can we have a campfire? Yes! Firewood is available at the lodge. Fires are allowed in the fire ring or on the grill. Please do not move the fire ring at your campsite.

Can I bring my pet? Yes! Pets are welcome, but please keep them on a 6 ft leash and under your control at all times. Pets are welcome in cabins but must be kenneled inside. Please use the dog walk areas and please CLEAN UP AFTER YOUR PET!

Do you have restrooms and showers? Our restrooms and modern showers (no coins needed) are located in our main building and are open 24 hours a day.

How far are sightseeing attractions? Attractions are just minutes away from the Duck. We are at the base of Pikes Peak. Click HERE for information about local events and activities.
