What is your camping season for 2023?

May 5th through October 1st


When do you start taking reservations for the Season?

Reservations can be made for the season starting in mid-January (the first Monday on or after the 15th.)


What is your cancellation policy?

We require 2 days notice for cancellations on all RV sites, Tent Sites, and Cabins, and a 10% processing fee will be applied for cancellations. 

Any cancellations made within 2 days of check in will be non-refundable. We also do not offer refunds for early departures.

Any reservation on a holiday weekend requires 7 days notice, and a 10% processing fee will  be applied for cancellations.

Cancellations on holiday weekends made within 7 days of check in will be non-refundable.


What time can we check in and when is check out?

Check in is 2:00 pm. Check out is 12:00 pm.

Please re-register for additional days prior to 12:00 pm (Noon).


How do I get to the Duck?


From 1-25 at exit 141, head 12 miles West on Hwy 24. Make U-turn on Hwy 24 at the Chipita Park Road exit. Get into the right-most lane and drive East 250 yards. Exit onto the first driveway on the right. You should be able to see our sign and our blue roof by then.

We are located at mile marker 291, almost to 292 on the Eastbound lane of Highway 24.

Please do not use GPS or Google Maps they give out wrong directions to our Campground!!!!


What are the quiet hours in the campground?

10:00 pm until 8:00 am.

What are the office hours?

In May and September: 8 AM to 8 PM
In June through August: 7 AM to 9 PM


What may I put on my campsite?


One camping unit and one automobile are allowed per site. Exceptions for tents are given with management approval. Alternate parking is provided for extra vehicles with a fee per vehicle. Please keep site free of all debris.


Do you have Wi-Fi?


Yes! Every campsite and cabin is connected to Wi-Fi. It is free, secure and fast. Get the password at the office.


What is the pool like?


We have the warmest pool west of the Mississippi river, 84-86 degrees.

Pool hours are 10 AM to 8 PM.


What are the swimming pool rules?


NO LIFEGUARD ON DUTY! Open 10 AM to 8 PM. Children 12 & under must be accompanied by an adult. Please, no food or beverage in the pool. No Glass. No dogs in the pool or inside the pool fence. Have fun!
(Pool Season is second week in May to the second week in September *weather permitting*).


How does it work to fish?

Our pond is spring fed and stocked with rainbow trout. Fee per fish caught. Catch & Keep only. Fishing hours are dawn to dusk.
No rod? No problem! Rent or buy one in our camp store. We also have bait, stringers, and other fishing gear for sale.
For your convenience we have a designated fish cleaning sink at the dish-washing station. Please do not gut fish in the dish sinks and please clean up after yourself.


Can we have a campfire?

Yes! Firewood is available at the office. Fires are allowed in the fire ring or on the grill. Please do not move the fire ring at your campsite. Campfire allowances are subject to local regulations.


Can I bring my pet?

Yes! Pets are welcome, but please keep them on a 6 ft leash and under your control at all times. Pets are also welcome in cabins but must be kenneled inside. And please CLEAN UP AFTER YOUR PET!

Pet fee $3 per day/per pet for camp sites.

Pet fee $5 per day/per pet in cabins.


Do you have restrooms and showers?

Our restrooms and showers (no coins needed!) are located in our main building and are open 24 hours a day.


Do you have on-site laundry?

Yes! Coin-operated laundry open 24 hours a day.


Where do I wash my dishes?

We have a dish-washing station for dishes. Please, do not wash dishes in the bathroom sinks or showers.


How far are sightseeing attractions?

Attractions are just minutes away from the Duck. We are at the base of Pikes Peak, minutes from Manitou Springs Cliff Dwellings, and minutes away from Cave of the Winds. Check out our Things To Do page for more information.

LONE DUCK CAMPGROUND AND CABINS POLICIES


Policies

2 day cancellation policy on RV, TENT sites and cabins | 7 days on all holiday weekends for all sites and cabins.

10% Cancellation Fee applied to cancellations | Cancellations made within 2 days or 7 days for holiday weekends are non-refundable | No refunds for early departure | No Show guests will not be refunded.

Check in is 2:00 pm | Check out is 12:00 pm. Please re-register for additional days prior to 12:00 pm (Noon).

Quiet hours are 10pm to 8am. No amplified music at any time.

Pool hours are 10am to 8pm. No lifeguard on duty. Kids 12 years old or younger must be attended by an adult at all times.

Pets must be on a leash, 6' or less, and under your control at all times. No excessive barking. Clean up after your pet.

Fires must be attended at all times. $250 fine for abandonded fires or hot coals.

$25 fine for leaving excess trash/abandoned items in your site/cabin.

Smoking marijuana is not allowed.

You are solely responsible for ensuring you book a site that your RV will fit in. Site sizes are clearly marked and Lone Duck Campground will not give refunds for sites booked that do not accommodate or fit your RV length.

Lone Duck Campground is privately owned. Management reserves the right to refuse service to anyone at anytime. By staying you assume full responsibility for all equipment loaned and/or campsite rented to you or anyone in your party and agree to reimburse Lone Duck Campground for any replacement or repairs necessary to return equipment and/or campsite to its original condition.

If arriving outside of check-in times, please call to make arrangements.

AUTO-COLLECT
At the time of booking, 100% of the reservation balance will be collected. Payment for all retail items and gift certificates will also be collected. Applies to: all reservations.


CHILDREN & PETS
Children are welcome with an accompanying adult. Children age 5 and under stay free. Pets are welcome. Pets are welcome, but please keep them on a 6 ft leash and under your control at all times. Pets are welcome in cabins but must be kenneled inside. Please CLEAN UP AFTER YOUR PET! Pet fee is $3/pet/night in all RV and tent sites. Pet fee is $6/pet/night in all cabins.

Your credit card information is stored and processed securely.
